Rapid Reviews values mentorship and peer-to-peer learning that will build the researchers and science communicators of tomorrow. Our workflow is supported by a large and accomplished network of students and early-career researchers and scholars. With the support of teams made up of “apprentices”, “mentors” and “alumni”, RR:C19 is able to scour and identify important preprints on a daily basis from each domain which are eventually pitched to more senior editors to review. Student teams participate in all meetings to help select our weekly batch of preprints for review and they also help put together curated lists of potential reviewers for our selected preprints. We also draw on student power to help fuel central operations of RR:C19 and RR:ID.
